Peoplefit Health and Fitness sponsored a fundraiser for breast cancer research, screening, treatment and education in Massachusetts on October 21 at Peoplefit Health and Fitness Center. 300 members and the general public attended the fundraiser, which included a silent auction and entertainment, and raised $6374 for breast cancer research, screening, treatment and education. Over 200,000 women and men are diagnosed with breast cancer annually and over 40,000 will not survive the devastating effects of this horrible disease. Through appropriate screening, education, and research into this deadly disease, there is hope that these numbers will move lower.

Peoplefit is a beautiful 6,000 square foot facility offering members spacious fitness, lounge and reception areas featuring large windows that fill the rooms with warm natural light. Amenities include top-of-the-line fitness equipment, shower and changing rooms featuring cherry wood lockers and ceramic tile walls and floors, group fitness and 1-on-1 training areas, an inviting lounge area and a children’s playroom with babysitting. The facility is in a new building at the Woburn Four Corners crossroads and provides a large, well-lit parking lot.

At Peoplefit, every member is evaluated by a physical therapist who then establishes a program especially tailored to each individual taking into account his or her goals and health issues. The therapist is available to consult with members as necessary and to perform formal re-evaluations every three months. Fitness staff are always available to provide the support members may need.
